Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej (now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to be awarded a perfect score of 10 in an Olympic event. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci at the age of six. She would later become Romania's gymnastics coach. Comaneci competed for the first time at the national junior championships and finished 13th. The following year she was crowned champion. In her first international competition in 1972 at a pre-Olympic Junior meet for the communist-bloc countries she won three gold medals. In 1973 and 1974 she was the all-around junior champion. In 1975, she took home four golds and one silver at her first senior competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European champion. She was the first woman ever to perform reverse double saltos while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her first job was as a figure skater, performing alongside her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around named Ice Capades. The shows featured skaters who were accompanied by theatrical music.
