Apart from acting, she's been involved in a variety of games series. She is the daughter of the poet Marylee Post and scientist Richard F. Post she was raised with two children in Walnut Creek. She was a student at Las Lomas High School where she played cheerleading. She briefly studied at Pomona College before graduating from Lewis & Clark College. Post married Stephen Knox in the past. Michael A. Ross (actor/writer) has been Post's husband since 1982. They have two daughters. Post inspires several Hollywood actors as a great actress, mother and wife.
